FDNY Tower Ladder 79
Would $180 be an acceptable price to pay for a Mint in Box without shipping sleeve Tower Ladder 79. Seen it listed on eBay and was just wondering. It would be the most expensive truck I have purchased and don't want to get burned.

That is a good price for mint in box.
I too struggle at paying such a price for a FDNY model. Can you justify just paying for a painted number and emblem being the only difference from other towers, engines, ladders, rescues, and
battalion chief suburbans. It all depends on how bad you want it.
Just for your info, The tower 79 is the only FDNY tower with the single center outrigger on the front with the square bumper. It is a little more than just a number change on this one. Brian

I wasn't trying to be smart. The different outrigger and bumper style and the low production run is why this tower 79 is demanding such high prices... and getting them. I paid around $120 for mine and it was out of the box and dusty. Like you stated above... it depends on what you want to buy. Thanks. Brian

Yes, but the corners of the front bumper are angled in. The 79 truck has a square bumper like the Black and white Chief edition Tower.
