It’s that time of year when we put the wish list together for Christmas 2010!  Code 3 is looking for good candidates for the annual Christmas Edition and we need your help. This year we will take suggestions for the 2010 Christmas Truck on the Forum.  The committee will select the best suggestion to become the model for December of 2010 and the 1st person to make that suggestion will win a full case of the 2010 Christmas model.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

Code 3 wants authentic reproductions for the Christmas Truck and will assist the Department in decorating the truck as the model will be decorated.

We are looking for towns or cities that have a Christmas sounding name i.e. Christmas, FL, Noel, MO or Silver Bell, Arizona or a Department that does something unique during the Holidays like a tie in with Toys for Tots or other charitable events.

So let us hear from you so we can begin the selection process.

His list does not count as a suggestion (it is a good resource though). We want specific suggestions, not just a generic list. This years model is not from a Christmas named town.

I was just letting everyone know that the suggestion does not have to be a holiday-like name. The 2009 model is from a Department that does something special at the holidays. It's not from a town with a Christmas-like name.

BTW, there was nothing wrong with your post.

But why does it say it has to have a holiday name in the first post?

Also, is this for 2009 or 2010? I'm very confused with these things. Thanks!

I believe it is for 2010 and going back and re-reading the "rules", they want a christmasy named town OR a town that does something special (special decorations, tie in with toys for tots, etc...)

Hi,

there are a few Villages called "Santa Claus" in the U.S.:

Santa Claus, Indiana
Santa Claus, Arizona
Santa Claus, Georgia

In Arizona the Village is uninhabited, Georgia has a total population of 237, Indiana about 2.000.
So i would like to honour the Firefighters of the smalest Village of them. The Christmas Edition 2010 should be the Engine of the Firefighters of Santa Claus, Georgia.

Or honour the Firefighters of Santa Claus Village, Finnland.

Have a nice time.

Greetings from Germany

What about Bethleham PA. They even run Eone engines, so it would be easy for code 3 to do

Sorry, but due to a lack of interest I am closing this thread. We have already made the decision for 2010.
