Classic Fire trucks
The photos above were taken by me at the SPAAMFAA Fire Muster, held in Germantown,
Ohio, on July 11, 2009. Please enjoy.
"This rig was the very first rig I climbed on, when I was 5 years old."
And it was brand new from the factory! LOL Just kiddin'
Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't...I only remember climbing on it. Actually, its a 1955 GMC,
American so it was about 2 years old when I was 5...now I can't remember 5 minutes ago.
billd i bet you would really like to have a model of that truck and by the way was the department volunteer or paid
and billd is the white ford with front mount pump privately owned or is it still maintained by its fire department
Ifpd75,
I'd like to see code 3 make some old trucks like these, but I doubt they would. Kettering Fire Department used to be a volunteer department, however, they are now part career, and part volunteer.
The Ford Engine with the front mount pump, is now privately owned, as is the GMC, by members of the Miami Valley Antique Fire Apparatus Association and SPAAMFAA.
I trained on a Ford Engine with a front mount pump, only it was all red.
