sale questions
I have a lot of items for sale but i wanted to know if ebay or here was better to get CMV. my other question is, does the value of the item decrease if it is out of the box. my entire collection is displayed in display cases and i have no boxes for anything. i have had my collection for about 7 years but everything is mint behind glass. and one last question there used to be an excel program that had the values and i cant seem to find it anymore. how do you guys determine CMV when you post a listing. i have some pretty big items (firehouses, squad and rescue sets) that were pretty expensive when purchased. do they hold there value? thanks for your help.

Have you ever sold anything on Ebay? If you haven't, that will effect the price you may be able to get. Buyers look at feedback ratings, and they may not risk too much on someone with a lower score - even if it's 100 percent positive. Also when you sell on Ebay, there are seller fees associated with Ebay and Paypal, so you don't get the actual sale price. It's usually abut 5% less. Finally, if you use Paypal for your transactions, they have a $500 per month limit on personal accounts. Just some things to keep in mind.
yes i have sold lots of stuff on ebay. mostly golf clubs. i have 71 sales and 100% feedback. i am aware of the fees and the paypal issue. so would it be easier to start listing them on here. i didnt want people to see me with only 1 post and then all of a sudden im selling stuff. i lurk a lot and actually have gotten away from the code 3 collection so i havnt been on here very much as of late. if it wouldnt be an issue to be a new guy and start selling then ill put up a FS ad. i just wanted to get clarification before doing anything. thanks
You can sell on here no matter how many posts you have. Just keep in mind, you will only get what someone is willing to pay for your trucks. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing what you have.

Your values on each unit will be affected by the lack if boxes, especially if there is no COA.
Having said that there is alway a particular unit that someone will want regardless of packaging and they may pay mor than CMV or the original selling price.
thank you guys very much for your response. i will get a list together and post a FS ad soon.
how long does it take to get a FS ad approved. i put together a FS this morning and it said it need moderator approval for some reason and i havnt heard a thing. is this normal?
I don't know. I sold a few trucks here and don't remember having to wait any length of time. I think it went right on.
the message said that something in my post triggered a possible spam alert so it needed moderator approval first. who knows. its not spam. weird. and i haven't seen a mod on all day.
I "unspamed" it. I've been on all day, checking in every 15 minutes or so.
If it happens again, just send me a private message.
