Engine 68-5
This is our company's newest truck and I would love to have a model of it to put it on display at our fire station. Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company, this truck is designated Engine 68-5. 2008 Marion on a Spartan Gladiator chassis.

Nice looking truck.  One thing though, that low hanging box in front of the rear wheels will get ripped off in time.  Mark my word... Had one on one of our trucks years ago, got tore off, and it was a city truck.  With that being a volunteer tanker/pumper rig, my guess is it does some rural areas as well.  That truck has a longer wheel base too... good luck.  How much water does it hold?

goinstormin, Thanks and this truck has a hydraulic lift system so when it drives the driver has the option of lifting the truck in caase we get a call up on the VF mountain we can lift up about 9-10", and it has 2500g Water tank and a 50g foam tank.

Sorry to hear that.  I can't believe the truck builders still offer those low hanging boxes as an option.  I guess they get their money for them, and we get the problems with them.  My opinion, don't put it back on.  Find a different place for the equipment and keep the box for extra metal later.

I don't think we'll be putting one back on, that truck was more then $600,000 and we already had one mishap and thats all we need.

Well of course they do, the department doesn't have to pay salaries and bennies.  When people will fight fires for free they can save up and have the nicest trucks.  Yes, I am a Union Fire Fighter, but... I started out a volli for many years, so it's all good.
