Going to Indy for Muster
Have fun at the muster. Wish I could go!
Went to the 50th last year in Syracuse, and had a blast! Wasn't planning to, but between getting elected Vice President of our chapter the previous month, and a few members promising that I'd be taken care of, in terms of expenses, it was kind of a no-brainer at that point.
Unfortunately, the finances just aren't there to make the trip this year, and I don't think anyone else local is going this time. Guess it was the novelty of the "50th Anniversary" that got everyone riled up.

I went to the Muster in Indy and did I ever get a big surprise. I stopped at a vendors booth to buy a few fire apparatus books and who was there? None other than Walter M. P. McCall himself! I had purchased the ALF 500 and 600 series and Ahrens Fox books, 2 of many books written by him. The lady working there asked if I would like them signed and by Walter McCall. I was totally floored by this. So I now have 2 of my new fire apparatus books signed by the great author Walter M. P. McCall! Other than that the muster was great too and a good turn out even though the weather was cool for this time of year with highs in the upper 60s.
