Negative Trading Experiences

I hate to do this, but I want to protect the GOOD collectors and traders on this board.  Beware of Jarrod (blighty01 ) .  I sent him money for a truck via PayPal 3 weeks ago.  He told me the truck was shipped and to expect it early last week and I would have to sign for it.  After not receiving the truck by the weekend, I started emailing and IMing him.  Over 4 times with no response to any of it.  Well, out of the blue I get an email this morning that he refunded my money via PayPal, but still no email or IM with an explanation.   Now, I am glad to have received my money back, but I did not get the truck he told me was shipped 3 weeks ago.  Trade or buy from him at your own risk.  The funny part is... we had made a trade about 2 months ago that went perfect.  I don't get it.

UPDATE:  Jarrod advised me he is on vacation and the box with the truck has been returned to his home because it was damaged.  He funded my money because he is not sure if the truck is damaged.  All it takes is a little communication guys.  I think 4 emails and IM's with no response over a week and a half time is enough time to be concerned.  Brian

It was indeed sorted out, my life does evolve around spending 24/7 on my laptop, i do actually have other commitments and obligations, that take me away from home and indeed access to the internet.It would be nice if the person placing this 'Negative' posting showed just as much enthusiasm in stating that it was sorted and simply a missunderstanding.

Jarrod, If you read above, I did give an update right away with your reason for not responding to my emails and the truck not showing up.  What else do you want from me?  However, I think if, and I quote from above "my life does evolve around spending 24/7 on my laptop" end quote, you could have sent me some type of email or IM about your status or the status of the truck.   It's over, let it go.  I got my money and you got your truck sent back.  No hard feelings.  Good luck with your millitary movement.

I have banned Andrew Weber from this forum (he has not signed on since 7/1/09). Scamming fellow collectors will not be tolerated. His messages are still listed in case anybody needs them for a police report.

Be leery in dealings with Conway Parrish (jrffparrish@yahoo.com). Seems he doesn't follow through with commitments. Just wants to waste you time with frivolous e-mails. I had offered free cases to anyone willing to pay postage. He responded in the affirmative and wanted to know method for payment. Offered him three separate options, but he failed to follow through.

i responded saying i can only pay with paypal. and you did not offer that.

well i hate to do this but i think after 3 months its time. do not deal with quantummechanics. he agreed to buy about 20+ of my trucks. said multiple times he would pay. never did. never even heard from him for about a month. then he PM's back and states he was sick and apologized. asked for my paypal again and said he would pay asap. that was 3 weeks ago. have sent numerous PM's with no response. i will be relisting my trucks and have sent him a PM as well advising our deal is done. be leary of dealing with him. 

Hi I am new to this forum. I was searching for a Emergency Ward LaFrance and 132kitbash left me a pm. On Jan 27th I sent 168.00 to through Paypal. No response to several emails left pm you name it. Then the money cleared you know he or she got the messages.So sad that a majority of the people on this site had great info on how to get one. I filed a claim with Paypal hopefully I get my money back I am so mad but I will keep it clean. To the moderator this person should be banned from scamming others. Keith

Hi Ken, Thanks for giving me some hope in this situation. Still no answer from Kitbash123 I should have checked with other members first. I am still looking for a Emergency WardLaFrance for my collection any ideas? Obviously I am not good at finding one which I have proven. If you know someone let me know thanks Keith Welsh

For anyone that has had problems with 132kitbash, please send me a private message. I can supply information that you can use to report the theft/fraud to the appropriate police department. I have warned 132kitbash twice. If I hear no response within 48 hours, I will ban him from the forum.

I will not put up with any kind of fraud on this board. I've already banned a member or two because of it.

UPDATE 2-19-10:

I have heard from 132kitbash. Denmark has been suffering with some heavy snow recently and it has caused all kinds of problems. I had temporarily banned him, but have reinstated his forum membership.

Really kitbash never got back to me not even a apology for what I went through. But they answer your email. Snow huh so what happened to my purchase. Cmon Ken your kiddin right? Member again

So it was snowing in Denmark since Jan 25. Out of numerous emails sent not ONE was answered what a joke.
