I am trying to understand why some models come in a box with the model enclosed in an acrylic case. While others only only come in plastic packaging with a cardboard sleeve. Thanks In Advance.

The plastic pack is for older models, the acrylic is newer.

Correct answer. However, please allow a Code 3 representative to respond to questions in the Question Box in the future.

The "bubble" package with the board sleeve was in fact the first Code 3 Package and it was very effective at retail in those days.  While with Corgi I worked very hard to "knock off " the package.  The new package works better considering the change in marketing from regular retail to speciality retailer who can dispay by taking it out of the gift box.  The current display base and clear cover make for a great way to both display your models and protect them.  All new 1/64th models are packed in this manner.
