Yea I'm the only one that posts pictures. Maybe you should take a look at the new product suggestions forum and tell all of them to take it off also. How do you know I didn't take them pictures myself ?
Because some of them have the owners mark on the bottom right corner.
That owners mark on the bottom right corner could be my mark.
Hey, Ken, what difference if the pic is yours or not on THIS website? It's for recreational use as a visual aid to show a truck to the C3 Forum Community. All we're doing is using them to make suggestions to YOU guys. Thanks!
All The pictures I used expect for 1 have the same marking.
And its not like I'm not giving any credit to the photographer his name and website is on the bottom right hand corner of every picture..
There are other people on this forum that have posted pictures and have gotten them off the same site as me so tell me why I'm being singled out.
I took over administration of this website in early April of this year. Before that, there was essentially no moderation on this forum. Now that it is my responsibility, I am making sure that this forum adheres to the guidelines Code 3 has laid out. Code 3 is part of Matrix Holdings which is a publicly traded company. As a company we have legal obligations. We will no longer allow copyrighted materials to be posted on this forum.
1.) fdysquad252 you are not be singled out. However, you recently joined this forum and almost every post you have written contains pictures from http://www.10-75.net/. It is clearly stated on that website that all content on that website is copyright by Eli D. Gill. By posting the pictures on Code 3's forum you are breaking the law and violating our posting rules. It does not matter that the picture has a copyright notice on it. It is still being used without permission. If you prove to me that Mr. Gill has given you permission to use his photos, then show me. Otherwise, provide a link to the picture in your posts. It is no excuse that other people have done it or that other people do it on other sites.
2.) As far as other posters previously using copyrighted material, I do not have the time to go back through every post. However, I did look at about a dozen older posts containing pictures and with the exception of one, the pictures were clearly taken by the poster.
3.) The forum software does not allow me to edit other peoples posts and frankly I don't want to do that. The only choice I have is to delete posts or mark them as spam. I will start deleting new posts that contains copyrighted material. I am asking John Dunkel to address this in one of the upcoming newsletters. Any user who continues to post copyrighted material will be warned. If a user is warned 3 times they will be banned for a week. If the behavior continues the user will be deleted.
4.) I am also moving this post into "General Discussion". I have repeatedly asked that there be no replies to questions posted in the "Question Box". Code 3 has given collectors a very open forum. We do not delete negative posts about us. We do not delete posts about competitors. All we ask is that you stick by our posting guidelines.
