So, why as a club member and many other club members are not being offered this sale? I think the members here have spent enough money over the years and have put off buying this piece, me included and have waited to see if a sale would take place later down the road.
I think this is a slap in the face to the many collectors of Code 3 trucks that the Seagrave company gets first crack at purchasing one and us as collectors must wait.
Do you think because TWH has produced the Seagrave TDA's that they will think to buy one of the Ladder 10 models too.
John.
I think you're making a big mistake here offering Seagrave the first choice instead of club members in buying this model!!

I have asked politely for everyone posting in the Question Box to stick to a one question format with the only reply to come from Code 3.

Because this was not followed, I am moving this post to "General Discussion". It is not my policy to delete posts (though I have had to on occasion). If the original poster wishes to ask the question again, I welcome him to do so.

Thanks,

I bought it the second it came out.
kmistove: Sorry for replying on this post but I saw to late that it was placed in the question section

Just what I been saying for months. If you aren't one of the chosen few then you don't count. Being a club member use to mean something, but that has gone with the wind.

USALLY, AFTER A QUESTION IS ASKED, THE BOX IS LOCKED, SORRY I  MADE A REPLY. DO I GET SUSPENDED FOR AN HOUR, OR AM I NOT PERMITTED TO BUY A CODE 3 FOR A DAY?

PS. I AM ONE OF THE FEW WHO STILL HAS A CODE 3 MEMBERSHIP.

I also have a Code 3 membership.
scubaski look here for John's reply http://forum.code3.net/2009/05/05/fdny-ladder-10-special-offer/page1/.
Make's perfect sense to me because if Code 3 doesn't make the contract requirements Seagrave can cancel the license.
And we won't that to happen, right?
Seagrave is already concerned of the comments Code 3 got about this and that is not a good thing if you ask me.
If Seagrave is pulling the license that would mean no more FDNY rigs and that is a bad thing for Code 3 AND us.
Now I hear some people say that there is enough FDNY but keep in mind that FDNY isn't the only department that uses Saegraves.

Well fdnyfan, number one if you look at the time stamps I made my post before JD did but it wouldn't have mattered anyway. I was one of C3's biggest supporters at one time, but that has changed and JD had a big part in that even though I can't blame him for the complete mess C3 is in but I have some issues with him pertaining to my own experience with him in regard to my account.

I'm not going to waste mine and everyone's time going over what I have already posted before.

I didn't see anywhere in JD's post were it said Seagrave is pulling the license. I don't see that happening as Seagrave is a business and the dollar is what its about and as long as they are in business with C3 they are getting free publicity and getting paid for it at the same time. A win win situation for Seagrave.

I don't want C3 to lose the Seagrave license anymore than anyone else. But, we haven't seen a Seagrave unit since May 2008 so its not like C3 can only make Seagraves.

Of course we haven't seen much of anything in the last couple years either. We have gone from 81 new releases in the 1998 to just 3 so far this year. In fact we have only had 88 total in the last 5 years and that includes display cases, posters etc.

Also, FDNY doesn't only use Seagraves.

I didn't say Seagrave is pulling the license but I said it could happen.
I know FDNY doesn't use only Seagrave since I have an E-One,4 Mack and 3 Ford in my collection.
Maybe even 7 Mack but Iám not sure about the 3 Sattelite's from the Super Pumper System.

You lousy ungratefull company.  Sales are good enough for everybody outside of the club, but those of us who have spent hundreds of dollars don't get s--t.  I feel like I'm back in the military.  BOHICA.sad

"...I made this decision in and of itself…it has nothing to do with and Matrix as was implied.  It is not a complete sell off and it is not a sign of “troubled times”!

The inner workings of Code 3 and Seagrave will remain just that “inner workings” and enough said."

JHD

OK...  With this explanation John provided, I have to admit that I for one am satisfied.
John will certainly recognize my "moniker" as I have been very critical of the way things have gone.  I have, and I stress, I have tried to balance my criticism with some compliments and supportive postings but the supportive issues have been far and few between with good reason.

I can see where Code-3 may have an agreement to provide such replicas at a lower cost to Seagrave Employees and see that as a reasonable business decision as well as goodwill gesture toward a company you deal with.  So let us drop this issue and move on.

However, I must say this to both John and Ken...  I can see John by your statement above, especially your  "... enough said."  that you are getting perturbed.  I also note Ken seems miffed as well because we didn't follow the rules..???

Point is the both of you are getting frustrated and angry...

WELCOME TO THE FRICK'N CLUB GUYS....  YOU'RE GETTING A LITTLE TASTE OF WHAT WE HAVE BEEN GETTING FROM YOU AND CODE-3 FOR MONTHS ON END & IT APPEARS YOU DON'T LIKE IT !!!!!!

Ken, you never responded to my e-mail to you....though it did not surprise me.   I was trying to support you're venture onto the FireEngines.net forum while at the same time trying to give you some insight as to what we all have been through.  Once again you guys keep missing the opportunity to do some damage control... especially when a list of problems related to Code-3 is given to you.   John... if you want some insight feel free to ask Ken what I informed him.  Time to open up the eyes guys.
