Please keep the firefighters and victims of the Victorian (Australia) bushfires in your prayers/thoughts.
As an Australian firefighter I am asking you all to keep the firefighters (mainly volunteer) and victims of the recent bushfires that have been burning in the Australian state of Victoria over the last week or so in your prayers and thoughts.
If you have not heard, the official death toll stands at 181, but is expected to be much higher (predicted above 300) and over 5,000 have lost their homes.
Please spare them a thought.
I agree with this post 100%, but my question is do they know how it started? Thanks, and God Bless All who risk their lives for so many people.
Several were started by arson unfortunately, which started many more through spotting.
The worst days saw temps up to 49C (120F) and winds up to 120kph (75mph). Spotting occurred 15km (9mi) in front of the main fires.
It's so sad that people feel the need to do that. It makes me sick. Good luck and all my best wishes!
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you who have lost homes and/or family members as well as the firefighters who are risking there lives. May God be with all of you.

1 Suspected arsonist in custody. Chartged with deliberatley lighting 1 fire that killed 21 people
