I voted for Subject matter, but I also think price is a key factor. Nice to see you again JD!

I've got the pretty much the opinion as Mike and Don.  I enjoy the unique color schemes and believe there should be a larger variety (How bout an apparatus from Minnesota) but, the high price of the apparatus has really slowed me down from adding to my collection.  I do understand that alot goes into the R&D but please, let's hold the price!!  Especially when I pay full price for something a see it at a large discount a few months later (Super Pumper Set).

If the piece catches my eye by either its unique design, color, and accessories, I would order the piece. The last piece that caught my eye from code 3, was the "Fairfax County Pierce" unit. As for
the last release, I was not impressed. The future pieces in planning, Mack CF Rear Mount Chicago
Ladder 15, and, the ALF Chicago Engine do not intrest me at all, however the "Sutphen" engine
looks promising. In short, EYE catching pieces, with exact detail is what I will purchase.

as i was organizing my collection recently i discovered about 9 pierce units all engines a majority of them are quantums so repaints or what ever you call them work if done right with variety flair and eye catching design
