Discount on 2009 club prices due to lack of 2008 releases?

I think they should concentrate on making club membership be something worthwhile, first. Aside from the occasional sale (like the one currently ongoing), there really aren't any "benefits" anymore.

I agree make the club more exciting and more benefits with it.

I must apologize to CODE 3 for an error in my previous post. There is really one benefit.

The value of the benefit depends on how much you order in a year and that is a discount on shipping. The more you order the higher your ranking and that ranking has a discount percentage associated with it and that could account for a substantial savings. My apology, I completely forgot about this.

Actually, they did away with that particular benefit a year or two ago. For some reason, they never stopped charging the discounted fees (at least for some people), but you can't earn any more points, etc. toward higher levels anymore.

Not only do certain dealers charge the club price, but their customer service is tons better.

I hope that Code 3 gets their stuff together in the coming year, and makes the Collector's Club worth being part of again, and ordering direct from them not be the game of Russian Roulette that it seems to have become.

It's kind of funny how JD hasn't replied yet! Hmmmm... what does that say.

He's waiting for the Hoopster to tell us all what "our money's worth" really is. You know, like signing up for a years membership to Bally, then asking them to give you a reduction the following year because you didnt use it the first year. That sort of thing. im sure the answer is coming tomorrow, its Friday after all.

By Money's worth, I meant that they would give us what we paid for. The realease schedule for last year was much less than what the newsletters/updates were leading us to believe in late 2007 and early 2008. (From reading the postings on the fourms, I can speculate that most people feel the same way about the lack of releases, and of the models that did come out the abundance of repaints). We went through most of 2008 with "more is coming soon, more is coming soon.

About the Bally's coments. I am assuming you mean Bally's Fitness (as there are other Bally's that provide other goods around the country.) I can put that in prospective. If I had purchased a membership under the understanding that They would put in 3 or so new machines every 3 months, and then they didn't I would feel ripped off. If It were because I didn't go to the club (or in this case look at the website) it would be MY fault. Promises of new releases were made, and less than what was told to us was produced.

I also find it interesting that people's comments are being hidden because they don't agree with code 3 or JD. Thats what this forum is for, to express opinions. Guess what, not everyone has the same one.

I actually understand your response Hoopster, and it was well thought out. I never figured that there was any guarantee on anything, and have never seen them specify how many of what, nor have they ever forced anyone to buy a membership. I wont ever renew, not worth it at any cost. By "moneys worth" I would think some new stuff at a low price would be my "moneys worth" but that aint happening. Thanks man, you rock.

I would just like to get what I ordered or at least a reply saying I'm not going to get my order because we sold your order to one of our wholesalers because you weren't valuable enough to us even though you would have paid us more than the wholesaler did even though you have been with us longer than the wholesaler, but that doesn't matter.

What are the chances on that happening?
