For those that have newer Corgi models in their collections, how do they stack up as compared to Code 3? I recently ordered my first Corgi model.

Other than being a little larger 1/50 scale they don't have as much detail at least on the older die casts that they made.  The newer ones are much better and I am glad to see that they are back in business.  I have quite a few Corgi fire die casts and the newest ones I have are the Memphis Pirsch 4 door sedan pumper and  open cab 1956 Maxim pumper.  I am waiting on the mid 60s Pirsch from Sarasota FL to be released too.

I know it has been a long time since this topic was active but I wanted to say that the best thing about Corgi is their vintage Seagrave Models.  I love the 50's thru 60's Seagraves.  I have their Detroit Seagrave (sedan) and the Tampa Seagrave with the extended roof over the crews bench.  They are the only source (except for DeHanes replicas) that make those classic Seagraves.

I truly wish Code-3 would make them in the 60's vintage with the squared off fenders with the quad headlights.  Now there is a Fire Engine!!!!   From the Ground Up.!!

I like the 50s-60s Seagraves too. Dayton, Ohio, Fire Department had the 40's and 50's Seagraves.

The engines, the midship mount 65' ladder trucks, and a TDA 100'  the extended roof.  Dayton
IAFF lodge has purchased the 50s Seagrave TDA, (old "Truck 2") and refirbed it for parades.
I agree with you, but sadly, I don't see it happening anytime soon.
