Philly squirt 43

The Squirt 43 was a 1500 unit production run, all models were shipped to the US warehouse. After a close inspection it was determined that there was a problem with many of the units. The recall was initiated and Code 3 took a quantity of the units back, then all inventory was returned to the factory. the intent was to re run the item, 750 Squrt 43 and 750 Squrt 8. further examination reealed that the toolitself had many "fit" problems and would not produce a model up to the Code 3 standards. this was at the same time that factories were cloing, the erathquake and the impending Olympics were interupting manufacturering. Long way to the real answer...the number of units in circulation, models on collectors shelves (those not returned) number about 475 units. I have requests all the time for the rejected models; sorry they have been melted down for remolding.
