I know there were scale issues with the '74 Seagrave TDA and that some collectors were put off by that, but all that aside, I think this was one of the best models produced by Code 3, yet we only saw 3 issues of this truck. Are there any plans in the future to re-issue this model? From what Code 3 has posted about the cost of researching a model, producing a mold, tooling cost, etc, it would seem to be a waste to spend that and then only use a mold 3 times. There have been many rumors floating around various collector communities as to the status of this mold. What is the truth?
'74 Seagrave TDA
yes it is a shame to waste this nice cab I would love to see some engines or a 4 door cab TDA done in FDNY colors.I bet the people who are interested in classic rigs would love to see these also
This would be a great model to bring back. There a ton of choices for the 70's seagrave tiller. Annapolis MD, Anne Arundal County MD, Boston MA, NYC, Cincinnati OH, Pittsburgh PA, Philadelphia PA, Fairfax County VA, and many many more. All of these had their own unique styles and colors. I for one being from PA would love to see the 1 and only Pittsburgh Seagrave tiller that was black and gold made.
truck98lt,
I agree 100% with you as well. Why not take the cab and make engines, squirts, and rescues. I would buy all of them.
I WOULD ALSO LOVE TO SEE THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS TDA

See the original website of the FDNY http://www.nyc.gov/html/fdny/html/home2.shtml
and see the lettering on the trucks.(if you see the link you already see it's FDNY)
Even on the official patches on FDNY clothes and on the back of the jacket says FDNY
