jd will you be making any brush trucks like fdny or cdf
brush trucks
I have looked and and studied the Brush Truck models a number of times. Do to the unique, speciality nature of this beast it is hard to do and justify the tooling. I would say nothing for 2009 but will continue to look at it for 2010. I am looking for some alternatives for this type of model and have some thoughts that might get us therew.

JD, I hate to hijack this thread, but I do not agree with the above assement. Based on the International 4400 Chasis, with secondary manufactuers like WestMark or Masterbody, there are literally hundreds of nearly identical Type 3 apparatus that could be replicated by Code 3. A single tooling of a WestMark type 3 body could be used for a number of projects, including departments that have already been replicated by Code 3. Malibu International was able to justify and release a 4400 CSX mold that was sold for only a mere $4 and is rather well detailed for the price. I just don't agree that it cannot be done efficently, economically, or cannot be justified.
Rescue et all,
True on the assesment that this can be doen. However, with a green light on new models there is a host of canidates in line. The tough thing is to decide on the subject matter with broad appeal and a long lifespan for the tool and tool investment. This is coupled with the fact that it has been a long time since new subject has been made available thus that line is longer. Trust me there is no shortage of suggestions and some will take precedence.
