Its NOT the normal free item, for many years there was no free item, and if there was a membership piece, you had to buy it.
Considering the lack of products lately, and the worldwide knowledge that the $10 discount you can get from any dealer, and the lack of a free truck, what the hell did you go and join up for, you certainly are one of life's suckkkkkkkerrrrrrs.

There is a production issue. Deal with it. We're not going to see anything new for awhile. Get down off your cross, use the wood to build a bridge, and GET OVER IT.
Well if YOU all are willing to accept substandard performance for your time and money not to mention being put off every week with some lame excuse. Maybe I am all wrong on the issue...maybe I am just a sour puss...NOT so much. I have been a member for a while and it used to be better. If you all are willing to accept "production" issue as a viable excuse...then maybe, just maybe I don't know about life in general. I love you all, MAN!!!

Rescue 42, maybe a minor malfunction is understandable, but 2 months of bullshit newsletters and its coming soon from JD, nah, thats a bad way to handle it and plus, C3 is now behind ATLEAST 6 models!!!!!
They're toy fire trucks, from a company that makes toys. If you don't like what's happening with Code 3, stop patronizing them. Plain and simple. People go on and on here about how Code 3's not servicing them and thier desires. So? It's not like Code 3 provides a vital service like delivering your heart pills or the water company for your house. If your life revolves so much around Code 3 that the lack of product, for whatever reason, News from JD, or a "New" mold is such a issue, I suggest maybe going outside and seeing what color the sky is. Find a girlfriend or learn a new sport. Face it, nothing is going to change with the company, and whether or not they release the crash trucks before the next Olympics or a new mold will get here before I turn 60. (Many years away), So what? When there's product, and it's something I like, I'll buy it. When there's news from JD that has some validity, I'll read it. But in the mean time, the lack of either of those items phases me no bit.
"Sucker?" Far from it. I just have my head based in reality. I have 120+ Code 3 models, and I've purchased a grand total of 2 this year. Do I loose sleep over the fact that my Code 3 buying habits have dwindled over the past 2 years? Nope. I had the extra $$ to purchase a new $2,000 camera and a $1,100 500mm lens. I spent two weeks in FL at baseball spring training. A week and a half in NY at New Year's. I've been to Seattle, Phoenix, San Fransisco as well, not to mention 17 days in Japan this summer. Oh well, the $200-$300 that I probably would have spent on Code 3 models so far this year went somewhere else. (And brought home half a suitcase of Japanese Die Cast Fire Trucks)
If Code 3 NEVER releases another model, it will be no skin off my nose. I have more important things in my life to wory about.
Who says we don't have lives, and that we lose sleep over it? But, if they say something's gonna be released, then release it. If their is a serious problem, then don't make up bullshit to stall, it's not proper business technique. Good for you, you got a camera, we all have one thing in common though, C3 trucks, you could not say you don't want C3 to release new trucks, cause I've seen you post suggestions and rave about many more! Let's face it, C3 is behind and we can't do anything, but that doesn't mean we can't talk and bitch about it! If you don't like it leave! For example, If you're at a bar, and their's a bunch a guys watchin the game. They start bitchin' an' bitchin' about it. You're annoyed so you have two choices, stay, enjoy your time their and watch the game, or leave and do something else, it's completely up to you.
POLITICS, POLITICS...this is an election year and Dunkel should be running for some sort of office...I agree...promises, promises and BS updates...sounds just like all the other stuff we are hearing from people running for office...maybe we will see something after the Nov elections!!

It was never my intent to piss anyone off. I just wanted to "rant" a bit about my favorite model truck maker. I to have many models from them and love everyone (except for one LAFD truck that has a bent axle). But other than that they are great (unfortunately they are made in China). I also have a big camera and travel a lot. Not as far as rescue42 has...but far enough.
You guys (donmateo, drjeff911) that agree with me feel the same way...otherwise why complain, we complain because we LOVE. Any-who...rescue42 we do have girl friends or wives) and many hobbies...the sky is always blue if you look hard enough...i am from the northwest and that applies most of the year. Be safe and keep your head low, listen to what is going on around you and you too will find your way out of the building...
Flyingsherpa makes great points. Rescue42 just doesn't get it i guess!??!?!?! We all just wanna know the truth not some bullshit stall story. If you can't quite handle some pressure, tell us, don't say that the earthquake disrupted your equipment!
I don't get it? Becuase I don't agree with your view, then I automatically don't get it? Actually, it's the other way around. I get that Code3/Funrise/Matrix is a company. They want to make money. That's all they want to do. They don't care what a few complaining collectors have to say, becuase it doesn't do much for thier bottom line. I also get that whatever happens with this company, nothing you, I, or the dozen or so other people here that seem to post, will have absoluetly nothing to do with it.
Face it, 99.99999% of us don't have the golden ticket to get Dunkel to listen to us. So why stress over it? Newsletter, or no newsletter. Workshop or no workshop. Fireside Chats with JD or not, I just don't care.
When Code 3 releases product, if I like it, I'll buy it. If I don't like it, then I won't buy it. Simple as that. If they go out of business, a lot of us will stand and point fingers, say "I told you so" and rant and rave how we all had the plan that would have worked if they just listened to us. Or they could be around another 50 years. Either way, it just doesn't matter to me in the long run.
Alright, how about this rescue42, let's "makeup" and just forget everything, ok?
