Her's a pic of the Iona Mcgregor Sutphen
oh and also the q2b is in the grill instead of the bumper
I received mine today.......... I think they did a wonderful job on the apparatus. Not EXACT but, for the scale I think it's pretty damn close!!!! Had they of done it as a Diamond Plate I'm sure it could have been right on. But then, plenty would be complaining of the price just as there is discussion to the Chicago Ladder........ Due to the price it will NOT be part of my collection but plenty will add it to theirs!!!
I know, opinions are like buttoles, everybody has one........ Be safe everyone and buckle up!
The Iona Mcgregor Sutphen photo on the Code 3 Home Page, does now show the Q2B in the grill, like the photo Matt posted. But still, it is a nice looking piece, accurate or not. Personally, I am waiting on the FDNY, ALF, TDA.
I agree, I just wish the mural had been done like the real thing, with no breaks... I would like to note, also, this is E-230, I think they renumbered their trucks recently, though.
I know, but the truck in the pic is 230, but now the engines are numbered in the 70s
Iona is a pretty impressive truck and not your typical white over red
I like that diagonal thing
This truck is based off of Engine 260, currently Engine 74 under the new County wide numbering system. The department has 3 of these all alike, a 2005 and 2 2007's. Engine 74 is an 07 model. Most spec's were off of City of Orlando's Sutphen fleet. Sutphen brought the Orlando trucks to us during the purchase process. Since Code 3 has put out several O' town trucks they had the casts already made. Thus the reason for some inconsistencies, Ex: Siren location, pump panel, rear box lights, I'm sure it was a cost issue to change the casts for the amount of difference in details. Overall they did a good job. Below is a YouTube link to a department video that has some pics of the trucks in action.
