I want FDNY and there are some other people besides me that like FDNY.
Did YOU saw my screenname and the latest newsletter from Code3?
FDNY sells and that's what it is about, making money.

fireman 888, a simple quesiton was submitted, and there was feedback...nowhere in the feedback are most of the departments you listed...and the premise of this thread was to attempt to get a consensous of what the collectors on this forum wanted reference picking one major city from each goegraphical area....clark county was listed as one suggested, no one even stated atlanta, San Francisco, Sacramento, Detroit, New Orleans, Nashville, Jersey City, Atlantic City,Dallas or Houston, as for the ones i picked, they are picks for geographical regions, anyone was free to make otehr suggestions for this geographical areas, and ther mere fact that i cut and pasted in any certain order has no relevance to anything...while this is not indicative of any demand outside the collectors who particiapte in this forum, it was an attempt to give code 3 a basis of a department from a major geographical area in hopes that they would take it into consideration. Perhaps you should particiapte in such attempts to infomr code 3 instead of trashing such attempts.

Ok I would like to see Atlanta there is my "1"

well there is only one problem with this whole choosing departments thing...Everyone is not going to choose the same fire department everybody has their on differnt tastes on fire trucks..like some like FDNy some dont..just like how i prefer Southern cities for code 3

The departments I listed are everywhere on this forum, maybe not in this thread. And they have been for years. I have collected Code 3 since day one, and I can back up everything I say, any time. Atlanta and Seattle have always been requested as has New Jersey, Dallas and more Houston. The collectors for years have wanted a realease from ALL OF THE CITIES I LISTED. All of the cities I listed I have seen in print as "wanted" by collectors on this forum. Your title says, "these are the major cities we want" and that is a quote. Did you mean to say "these are the major cities I want" or when you said "we" did you not mean some people, or do you only consider responses from certain people? We to me, means us, all of us, or anyone that has posted here, another forum, reads this forum, reads Toy Trucker or Fire Apparatus Journal, or collects model fire trucks. If "we" has a different meaning you should educate us. By my posting the cities I did, is that not participating, or because they are not your choices it is not your defination of "major cities we want". There is an entire thread on this forum about other cities, most of the ones I listed. Isnt the rest of this forum where we post information relevant to this particular thread? It seems to me that any post you make, if someone disagrees with you, or has another point to make, you go out of your way to make thier point invalid, and only push your agenda. I am as much a part of this forum as you are, and I have as much a say in things as you do. Where is it that you see things differently? Let me quote this from you.
"Boston, Chicago, Philly, LA County or City, Miami-Dade, collectors, please feel free to select A MAJOR department from A geographical area (south, midwest, east coast, ect.) or restate one mentioned by another collector,"
I chose some other MAJOR cities, and restated from other collectors here on this forum. Maybe you didnt see them, or maybe you only see your own choices, but they are all mentioned here on this forum. And some of them, if not all of them are mentioned on four other diecast or fire truck collecting forums. Allow me to quote you again.
"Seems like, so far, we are looking at Boston, Chicago, Philly, LA City,Miami-Dade, clark county, Raleigh or charlotte NC, Ann Arbor Michigan, DC and way to many ohio cities"
So now we see that you have taken your own agenda, and added Clark County, Raleigh, Charlotte, Ann Arbor, DC and way to many ohio cities. So in all of the hundreds of threads in this forum or any other one you participate in, you only find these five to add? Maybe you need to spend some time on the rest of the forum, as I can find entire threads devoted to some of the other cities I mentioned. And if I may, one more time.
"is this a fair representation for JD?"
You asked the question, I gave an answer. Or did you only want answers that suited you and your agenda? It is not a fair representation at all. Only 12 people responded. That does not make up a majority of anything nor is it a consensous. One guy wanted FDNY and you disregarded his comments entirely. In this thread you started, Myrtel Beach, Charleston, Cambridge, Dallas, Comumbus, Cincinatti, Cleveland, St. Louis, Key West, Newark and Denver are all listed. This "fair representation you say, is not accurate, and it in no way represents the collectors here. When you post things like "we want to see" you should prepare yourself for feedback, and accept that feedback like a gracious host. If not, then hosting a question like this is most certainly out of your league.
You dont speak for me, or the collectors here. My greatest hope is, after all the name calling, bad mouthing of Code 3, the page after page of crap you post about John Dunkel, he does not pay attention to this or you.

One big item to remember when asking for specific cities is what type/manufacturer they use hence needing new licensing agreements and new molds since they don't exsist.Charlotte and Atlanta have Spartan Engines, Myrtle Beach has now replaced there fleet with KME's and there old Pierces were on a long wheelbase chassis (no mold for it).Just a few considerations for choosing potential trucks.

exactly firefighter4life88, everyone does have their own opinion, and that was the purpose of this thread...to put out ideas, hoepfully broken down to geographical regions, have a gainful discussion if there was more than one department in a geographical region, see if there could be a consensus of a major department for each region, and pass that along to code 3 for consideration. As for fireman888, his ramble is hardly worthy of comment since he failed to comprehend the intent behind this thread, while others did, as well as failing to list the cities he wanted considered, as the thread asked, and then shows up late and expects cities listed in otehr threads to be listed here. Hopefully, the collectors who visit this thread, the mere 12 who took part, which seems to offend fireman888, will keep on suggesting, as well as others joining with constructive discussion, there can be open dialogue, without the venom of people such as fireman888, and some productive suggestions can be passed to code 3.

So you say go with the majority.
Like JD said:
'Authentic FDNY replicas sell and this cannot be disputed. Throughout this country and around the world, people are familiar with the Fire Department of New York. This much was true long before the heroic call to arms following the events of 9-11. An icon of firefighting, FDNY represents some of the best in fire protection. And while the relationship with FDNY remains positive, Code 3 likes to think our relationship with all Departments is just as good—so if you see a slight skew towards the reproduction of New York area departments, it really boils down to supply and demand.'
Thanks to JD.

Theyve sold in the past and with this forum it's been stated that new locales would be nice!!

firemedic2829, that is exactly the point of this thread...for when you narrow it down to a major dept from each geographical area, then you are also looking at a major supplier, take for instance if someone had said Houston, they just updated their fleet with Ferrara's, and they are beautiful looking, major departments buy in bulk from one manufacturer, so if we can narrow down the departments by to one or two from each geagraphical area, then it makes it easier for code 3, and gives JD less wiggle room reference excuses

I hate to beat a dead horse here, but there are 43 different cities mentioned in this thread alone, with another 17 unique mentioned in the other thread with nearly the identical title.
That's 60 different departments that people want JD to take a look at, and we don't know how many of those have apparadtus that Code 3 currently has a mold for.
I have no problem with throwing out suggestions, but I think we're getting to the point of oversaturation. I can't imagine JD has the time to go through and check every single one of these. I think it would be a bit more judicious of us to narrow it down to some of the larger cities, or a top shelf wish list from each geographical area.

Well rescue42, i would agree, and that would be the result of people not following simple directions...when i started this thread, i tried to narrow it down to geographical areas, and then try to come to a consensus about a major city in each geographical area, but unfortunatly, people are just throwing out anything on this thread, imean smokeysjs threw out 6 from california, the problem will always be that no one will take the time to follow the directions, thus giving JD all the wiggle room he needs to keep up his current conduct
