Topic: JD LISTEN, THESE ARE THE MAJOR DEPARTMENTS WE WANT

The other problem is that there are some really great rigs, burried in topics that have nothing to do with suggesting rigs for Code 3 to do. A topic like "Enough FDNY" and halfway down, there's 4 or 5 rigs from some department that someone wants to do.

The "New Fords" topic, now that's a great way to do it. One type of vehicle, and then a bunch of examples of that vehicle that we would like to see done.

Pick an apparatus, say Pierce Quantum, start a topic of just Pierce Quantums, that way JD can go through and make sense of it. We need to limit it to either current Code 3 molds, or molds that Code 3 would realistically produce.

I couldn't sleep last night, so I thought I'd count. In the first 20 topics on the all-topics page, that didn't deal with selling off collections, there were 283 suggestions for new rigs or departments. There were a couple duplicates, so knock off 20 or so, but it's just overwhleming. (The fact so many appeared in 2, 3 sometimes 4 different topics is a problem right there) JD's not going through and reading all of them. I know after about a half an hour, I was getting bored trying to find all the different suggestions. Believe me, JD has better things to do with his time. We have to make it easy for him.

The "New Fords" page is mine and I thought the same as you, "Maybe if I organize this a bit better, JD can understand and see what I'm trying to say." Thanks for the publicity (lol) rescue42. I totally agree, we all need to listen to what rescue42's gotta say!!!!!

Denver, CO or another Denver Metro Department. Also, there are some great looking apparatus in the DFW area that I would probably be interested in.

I don't think the suggestions here are going to make a difference to Code 3 and or John Dunkel predominantly because the answer from both to this post would be "we are already doing and have done the examples from the major departments".

Well when I last looked at my collection which was two minutes ago I'm sure had examples of all those listed in the starting post except Miami Dade but I'm sure it has examples also(I'm 100% positive they have).

Having said that I wouldn't mind a set from Atlanta ..say a Quantum set.

Hey, FDNYFAN, you seriously need to get your head out of your ass, and take note of what this thread is all about.
OK, firstly, depts that code 3 need to look at, so, do you think code 3 has never thought of releasing a truck from FDNY then, ( speak that last line through in baby talk, and you will see what I am getting at.
Either get a life, or get with the programme. LOL.

What the hell are you talking about?
I only asked for a picture of his truck since I'am guesing he's an FDNY firefighter or can't you read.
What is wrong with that?
BTW,I already have a live and a programme isn't working because I'am beyond saving and it takes a baby to talk baby language and since I'am 33 I can safely say I'am no baby.
Can you say that for you also idiot.

Sorry fdnyfan, but the post I put, was meant as an answer to a previous post you wrote, about someone NOT mentioning new york as a major city, but even though I clicked to answer your post there, it put my answer where it dont make sense.

Just to make a point, this topic is pretty much a waste considering C3 is 2 months behind and doesnt have any idea what to do with themselves.

I'd like to see a "50 states series". Pick one, 2 or 3 states a month depending on the molds. There should be enough repeats to save on the molds with repaints for many of the states. I think the mix of big and small departments will work too. I think that the idea of a series is inviting. OK, I'm piggy backing off the whole state quater thing, but it has a strong following, but do you think that there is a strong following here too?
