Hey they have to keep everbody happy and it's probably released in October or November.
First there a 3 releases in September that are NOT FDNY and with this months 2 releases that makes 5 NON-FDNY.
So quit complaining about FDNY releases.
I can't wait to see this new FDNY rig and I think that I'am not the only FDNY fan on this forum.
SO,NO MORE COMPLAING ABOUT FDNY RELEASES because that's making me sick.

I'm with you Firerescue 13. I have some FDNY releases in my collection, but they are mostly the classics, along with the Super Pumper system. If one was to count the total FDNY releases done by Code 3, it would be obvious to even the dumbest chimpanzee that we have been overwhelmed by FDNY releases! And just because they are the biggest department does not mean we need to be inundated by models of their rigs.
I have nothing against the FDNY... they are as great as the other millions of firefighters all across the U.S. I have many friends in the FDNY, so my gripe isn't personal.
Having said that, if Code 3 wants to release some classic FDNY rigs, from which there are hundreds to choose from, I'd like that, but again, released in moderation. The FDNY rigs today are all the same red and white boxes with distinctive trim. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. And I don't buy models for the artwork depicted on them. While it's important to include that in a finished model, I can take a picture of the artwork.
fdnyfan? Obviously they are not keeping everybody happy. LOL!! But then again, you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time. No, you are not the only FDNY fan on this forum, but I can assure you that for every person who is an FDNY fan, there are hundreds of others on this forum who are fans of some department other than FDNY, who would love to see their favorite department depicted in a Code 3 model... me included.
As far as people feeling sick, take two aspirin and don't call me in the morning! LOL!!

"One aspect that I am working on is the inside information on the models we produce. I think it is as important to know about the Department and the Firefighters manning the rigs to give it a more personal feel. This will be incorporated in an upcoming special release for the FDNY and will set the stage for subsequent releases in the future".
John ..you don't have to work very hard in this area as Code 3 has already been doing this type of information detail on past rigs, eg...FDNY Engine 88 came with a nice fold out card with its' history written on it and so have many others...if it is more detail then go for it.

Exactly!! Couldn't have put it any better chiefhank!! I have nothing against FDNY, they are incredible, but were not talking about the company, were talking about models. I too have bought a couple FDNY models but there getting old, if code 3 wants to make somthing totally new that we have never seen before than ok, but like chiefhank said, spred them out! Sure there are other FDNY fans out there, but you have to be happy cause code 3 has done quite a few FDNY models, but you have a lot of other collecters to put into prospective, not everyone enjoys FDNY models, so for those like me who think FDNY is great, but we have enough, relax, and let us have our glory moment with models other than FDNY, and then code 3 can do some more FDNY, but please Mr.Dunkel, a little variety would be nice.

Enough is Enough quit the FDNY bashing you don't like it, don't buy it,without FDNY there would be no code 3.
Please Mr. Dunkel if you read these forums,KEEP THE FDNY COMING

Yet another FDNY release that will sit unsold on their website. Bravo Code 3, bravo! I'd sure like to see more Las Vegas, Clark County, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Ventura, LAFD or LACoFD, but noooooooooo we get more FDNY crap thrown down our throat. With the exception a few FDNY releases, most of them hold no value anymore because Code releases WAY too many of them. ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Between the skyrocketing prices and the down right piss poor departments, I just don't see buying anything for months. And I'm not alone in that feeling. Many other Code 3 collectors who are friends feel exactly the same way.

"without FDNY there would be no code 3". Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! Yeah, so LAFD, LACoFD, San Diego, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Denver, Phoenix, Baltimore, Washington DC, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Miami, Miami-Dade, Philadelphia, Orlando, San Francisco, and many other cities made by Code 3 haven't helped Code 3? What a one sided self centered view of the world you must have. The most recent poll on this site that is over a month old has 60-40% against more FDNY. While some is okay, the overkill exhibited by Code 3 is getting to be too much. I just knew Code 3 would do it too. They have become so predictable in their releases.

Only 2 FDNY units sit unsold RM 24 AND RM 43,I don't know about Haz-Mat since it was released by past time.I do know that 8 different departments from around the country and the 2007 Christmas ladder sit unsold,if everybody wants non FDNY trucks then why do so many non FDNY units sit unsold?.You must excuse my bias for FDNY since I grew in Queens during the 1960"s,and you say I live in a self centered world, where do you get off saying FDNY hold no value have you checked ebay lately, like I said before you don't like it don't buy it,and one more thing,if you keep you mouth shut you will not get FDNY crap thrown down it.

I see a lot of FDNY on Ebay that doesn't even sell and the vast majority of it selling for less than $25. There a few that get high dollar bids, but not many. No argument that the no name departments is a stupid decision by Code 3. But there are dozens of large departments out there that Code 3 has never gone back to and would sell well, while at the same time they flood the market with FDNY.
permalink
Maybe the don't sell on ebay because every FDNY fan has them already.
I know Code 3 will sell at least one rig and that's to me.
But enough is enough,stop complaining.
If you see the release shedule for 2008 you see only 2 FDNY and 8 (EIGHT) other departments.
See for yourself http://www.code3.net/fire/schedule.asp?year=2008.

I would only buy a FDNY model if I have seen it. I just got back from New York and I have seen 5 of my 7 FDNY Models.
But if Mr. Dunkel wants to bring out a FDNY release he may well do but how will it sell if no one wants another FDNY release to their collection.

"Without FDNY there would be no code 3" So your saying that if code 3 were to stop doing FDNY for a short time, they would no longer be a good company, well arent you a very good collecter are you! Like i said before, i have nothing against FDNY, i have a couple FDNY models myself!, but i want to see somthing diffrent! Thats all im saying, i dont care if they do FDNY, but not so much at once, and if they were to sell non-fdny models for 1 whole year, i can gurantee that they would continue to sell there models and maybe even sell more! like greg3564 said, what about the rest of the cities? you mean to tell me that they were worth nothing to code 3, so fdny is better than all of them? Wrong!
permalink
Exactly! "EVERY FDNY FAN HAS THEM ALREADY" your correct, all you fdny fans have got it pretty good, you should be happy, but what about the rest of us, boston fans, or orlando fans, or small town vollie fans! There are millions of departements other than FDNY who deserve a chance to have there trucks produced, so you can wait a while, and let them, get what they want. The model world does not revolve around fdny fans!
permalink
When did i bash FDNY? Did you even read what i said? "I have nothing against FDNY, they are incredible"
permalink
I'am not saying that the world turns around fdny fans.
