In May of this year i ordered 1x FDNY Ladder 43 and 1x Squad 61 shipping cost was $25.90 for standard international shipping. Today I ordered the two crash trucks and I have been robbed $79.90 for standard international shipping. I hope this is a mistake if not it looks like the end for collecting Code 3's. Has anyone else been charged way more than there last order?
I haven't been charged more than usual but I recently had an order for a gentleman in Switzerland and it was going to be $75 for about the same weight as your order.
From what I have seen lately, shipping international has really gone up. Shipping more than one item at a time increases the size of the shipping container and that is increasing the price.
Shipping is up because of the same reason everything else is up- Oil prices. UPS, FedEx and others have tried to swallow the increase but now that it looks to be a long term problem they are passing the cost to the consumer.
I have noticed for the last couple months that when I ship with UPS my invoice shows a fuel charge. The customer doesn't see it but its included
Code 3 advised me that the shipping cost is going up but I cant see how they can nail us for a $54 increase in one hit fuel has not hit $300 a barrel (Yet)
I contacted code 3 and they sorted it back to $25 for 2 trucks to europe.
Its a glitch their end.
They still have the high shipping costs in their order form. Why cant they fix it?????????????????
why Code'3 uses Fedex?
USP is shipper : 35 $ for 2 items to Europe (in september) and 18$ for one.
Is it possible to send code3' item by US Postal?
Well i went to place an order this morning, what a suprise.
For the xmas edition Yonkers, for delivery to Australia, Im being charged $39.95 for delivery, taking the total cost of the model to $89.94US
That over $100 australian which is pretty hard to justify for a single model!
To serve the international customers, wouldnt code 3 endevour to try and find cheaper options for delivery/freight charges.
Doing this might help them turn over more of there models which havent been selling. It would be interesting to see what the international sales were like 12 months ago compared to now.
Back in March of this year, i purchased a single model, and the delivery was only $12.95.
Hopefully Code 3 can come up with other options for delivery,or some other scheme to enable us international customers to continue purchasing their models at a reasonable rate.
Simon
Hi Mr Dunkel (or anyone else at Code 3),
WHY don't you reply to the questions of your fellow International Customers ?????
David, Belgium
I stopped purchasing models from the C3 website since their horrible international shipping costs increase. Purchased a few items from Past Time Hobbies the last months and all i can say is: great service, good contact and very good international shipping prices. Got today my copy of CFD engine 79 and it costed ONLY $15,92 with USPS for shipping to germany. C3 wants 40 bucks and thats extremely bold.I dont care if I have to pay a little for the customs, and if, its much less than shipping with FedEx and paying no customs.
Funrise/Code3 you will oblige your members a lot when you change your shipping preferences and use USPS. Its not a promotion for USPS, but my expierences the last years is that USPS is the best in international shipping. I would be happy if one of your customer service would reply to this message. If not, we all know that you dont care about your international members.
btw I often tried to contact your website customer service, never got a reply. and thats bad, very bad
Andy
