Well, since code 3 has alot of molds of the older trucks, why not do some refurb trucks? There are alot of companies who are not buying new trucks, they are just re-doing there old ones! Check out Fire Apparatus Journal they have a whole section in each issue on these trucks.(Rehab Section)

Feel free to put pics of your favorite refurbs!

Speaking of having the molds, instead of taking so long to create a new model. Crank out some with the existing molds. It should be easier to re-letter an apparatus than to build an entirely new mold. The Pierce Dash model is highly popular with departments, they should be able to crank out many different departments with little to no changes to the mold.

Absoulutley, they have the molds from when they first started producing, now all they need is new led lightbars and newer tools and such!

This 1974 mack pumper was rebuilt in 2005 and made into a rescue for Tappan NY. A new rescue body and an encloused cab were added along with led lighting.

Yeah, that's just what we need. More "one-off" molds that will never sell enough to pay for themselves.

And people wonder why "JD" isn't "listening".

Didn't mean to sound "harsh".....please don't take it personally. At that time, the board was being bombarded with tons of trucks, and people saying "Make this!" or "I want to see this made!", with little to no thought about the process involved in doing so, and it just got a little too aggravating. Didn't mean to "snap", per se.
