Judging by the "Workshop" thats exactly whats happened. Repaints for Pax River? Navy Mid Atlantic? No offense to Scottie at Pax River (you lucky dog!), couldnt you find an air force base and a navy base to do, not just two swabbies. I've waited a long time (when did the Titans come out?) for an ARFF truck from Code 3 and this is what they dish out to "pacify" me? I'll still buy it due to my loyalty to C3 and my passion for collecting ARFF rigs, but come on.
BREAKING NEWS: Warehouse full of 1/64 th scale Oshkosh T-3000s found in China
So true....oh so true.
Howdy,
Even though this is a pair of repaints, they're pretty sweet repaints. A refreshing change of pace actually. Hope to see more like this in the future.
Regards,
pk
Oh How I Wish that those who belittle all releases that are not new molds as "those repaints" and give some credit to whatever changes are made to existing molds to make the new releases look correct. Not every release is going to be a new mold. A lot of the recent releases are very well done and worth adding to a collection. Keep up the good work. Next time - please remember that the US Air Force also runs a fire department. The USAF is the only service to provide complete fire protection services on its bases. The Army, Navy and Marines utilize Federal Firefighters for base protection and military firefighters only on flight operations as firefighters. In any case all should be recognized through regular releases of military apparatus models. I think that Code 3 should start a Military Line with at least four releases per year. I would also like to see a Classics line developed and that should be at least six releases per year including at least one classic military rig.
Wow, sounds like someone works for C3 or is trying to suck up for a position, either that or I should start humming the national anthem halfway thru that post of your's :). As for "those repaints", as someone who physically drives the rigs being made my opinion should carry a little bit more weight. I seriously hope you're right and they are not just a relabel. And just to clarify the Army does have there own FFs at most of the bases, Navy has the majority of Fed guy, AF has a good chunk of Feds working at the smaller bases (GS contractors.
I just hate to see someone get egg on their face with misinformation.
I like the Crash Rigs, but the big questions to consider for me is the cost
and will both have the same edition size? Just my thoughts.
I, for one, would love to see the Raleigh-Durham unit produced.
Then they would cry too many east coast rigs....
yea baby LIME ALL THE TIME
Whats the tally Anto? I'm reading (plus the two new repaints)East coast has eleven, Central has seven, West Coast has six including the Chief Edition. The Ca-na-dah trucks are included. I'll take pcitures of my new Striker when we get to Oshkosh tomrrow and see if it catches C3's eye. Can you say Chevrons??????
