I'd love to see some new releases of just about anything other than the usual Engine/Ladder from the FDNY. Not that I don't like the FDNY but you can only handle so much of the same truck renumbered and so forth. But how can they put out new stuff when they can't even get an item the I purchased the end of December shipped out and here it is almost December again.
New Releases????
Ahhh....It's all I can say. A new year and yet....the same old news. Please....stop with the useless talk every week. I and many others do not long on to this site to find out about Obama collectibles. All we want is weekly updates on new releases and the progress of those releases. Stop stalling every week with all this useless information. If we wanted to hear about Obama or world news, we would log onto CCN.com. Where is the schedule of the releases for the year? Where are the sneak peaks of the new models? Where are the updates on those new releases? A very simple concept that I cannot figure out why Code 3 has not caught on to. Code 3 has a strong following, give those collectors what they want....More collectibles and news on the what, where, and when of those new collectibles...nothing else!!! No Obama collectibles, no economic news, no polar ice caps melting.....JUST CODE 3 COLLECTIBLES.....and please, stop stalling like last year. We don't want to hear about factories in China, union strikes on the docks, or the exchange rate of the dollar. Get it together and issue a release schedule and follow through with it.....
Its time c3 start thinking about what there customers want. Enough of FDNY they need to start making new molds for new departments. How hard is it for a company to produce 5 new models every 2 months. It would be nice to see some new tillers and even perhaps a 1/32 scale of one. I think everyone agrees that its time for some new updated models. I personally would like to see Orange Co. Fire Authority, or some other departments in Orange Co.

Time to get realistic. Unless you have tons of money to throw around and have a company contracted to building molds 24/7 (and thats assuming R&D is on 24/7) there is NO WAY they can produce 5 new models every 2 months. I don't normally defend C-3 but that is just totally unreasonable.
They could however come up with SOMETHING NEW by this time. Clearly C-3 is circling the drain, and I don't want to see that, but how else can you explain the BS "Updates" with absolutely nothing in them other than supposed "hints" of more to come, and the lack of anything but old molds being re-introduced?
People are like the News Media... If you don't tell them what is going on, then they will make it up for you.
as much as i would like to see a lot of other models other than NY, its just not gonna happen i dont think. FDNY trucks sell. thats the bottom line, and what better way t make money than to use the same molds.
everyone wants to see an apparatus from where they're from. well not gonna happen all at once. it takes years to make whole collection of different rigs, and to make money you have to break even after you make a new mold. so you use that mold till you make a good profit.
it is not as easy as a lot of you think to be able to make new molds all the time to meet client demands, and still make a profit, so that you can stay in business to keep making money to keep client/ collectors happy.
sarniafirebuff : you are dead wrong! I dont mean to be confrontational, but you are wrong. It is not dificult to produce and new molds and make a profit. It's the principal of get the customer what he demands and you will make a profit. If Code 3 listened to its most loyal collectors (the members of the "club"), and excercised some good business sense they would be cranking out new models and new molds all the time while selling out month after month. Take for example the first American Lafracne Century series release from Chicago Fire Department. Even though that particular mold was probably the least accurate of any produced by Code 3 it still sold out in 3 days. Why? Not because it was the most attractive, most accurate model they ever produced but it was because it was what people like me had been asking for since 1997. Business is business, you give the customer what he wants and the rest takes care of itself. new molds do not mean an end to profitability. Yes, there is significant investment involved, there is also significant risk involved especially if some suit that has never layed eyes on a fire truck before is at the helm making the decisions (not that I am saying that is the case here) but knowing your customer base, and researching what makes the customer base most excited is basic business. Yes, FDNY trucks sell, HUGE customer base. Am I personally tired of them.... Yes. Should Code 3 continue to produce FDNY rigs? Absolutely! All of this is a waste anyway, I doubt this company survives the year. I hope it does, but I sincerely doubt it!
Whoa..... Down Boy.... Heel...!!! ![]()
