How long do we have to wait and listen to these annoying weekly stories until a new release comes out?? Focus on the timely release of new & exciting models, not world events & personal feelings/stories. And please, can we do another city besides New York?
New Releases????
I agree...talk, talk talk but never any action..time to put up or shut up... I wonder if there is really anything "new" coming along...all we do is wait and then another "New York" model. Code 3 should realize that there are many more departments in the country then New York.
I also agree. Something other than FDNY & LAFD. Let's see some smaller departments. I'd personally like to see City of Orlando Fla. and Orange County Florida
That would be nice I think doing other models from different cities or even the small towns should be considerd.
Well, another week goes by with no releases.... I am getting so tired of this guy's lame excuses. Ever since he has taken over, there as been crappy releases, stupid weekly updates, and more and more excuses why there are no new releases. Keep this up and the Company will tank by the end of the year. And if things are so bad, and Code 3 is such an American company, why don't they bring production to the US. Obviously China can't handle our needs. I look now at my collection of Code 3's and am beginning to think that they will be it, the future does not look too promising!!!!
I feel the same way! To much fdny!! But i cant stop collecting code 3!! There is no other diecast producer like code 3! And yes, i used to come home from school on friday and run to the computer looking for new models, now, every friday is more of a let-down. Its about time they starting pumpin out the new molds and somthing other than FDNY!
Right on, maybe C3 should do 2 or more releases a month.
They SHOULD be in the U.S. supporting the economy anyway!!!!
Well....looking at the recent "current news", it appears that some of our fustration and anger has actually made it's way to the top. Not that I think anything will change, it's just nice to know that we all aren't the only ones reading these posts.
It took forever....but, a release finally came out. Something different...maybe; something exciting...kinda. But, it'll do for the die-hard Code 3 collector. I have waited for so long, I probably would have purchased anything from them at this point...including one of those scary movie poster things.... Ohh, the thought! However, while in the process of making the latest purchase, I of course did my fair share of venting. I was calmed down and then re-assured. I was told things are getting back on track and to keep my eyes on the calendar for the 4th quarter. Supposedly there are a good amount of releases and some hot ones for this quarter. So....my source has been good to me in the past and because of that; I will quietly cross my fingers and patiently wait in anticipation.
But....Code 3, just be honest to the collectors, those that have been with you since day 1. Let us know good things are coming, give us a little bit of insight into that. No more pretty little quotes or stories. Just the facts!!
Not a good idea.
Such things cost money which they can't spend on models then.
There have already been 4 City of Orlando releases Eng.2 and Tower 2 white/red, Eng.5 and Tower 9 in Black/Red and an Orange Co. Freightliner Eng.65, maybe a few new pieces from both agencies would be nice.
They use to put out a collectors guide. I found one in my room the other day for 1997 to 2001. I know I had others so they must of got lost in the move
Its time c3 start thinking about what there customers want. Enough of FDNY they need to start making new molds for new departments. How hard is it for a company to produce 5 new models every 2 months. It would be nice to see some new tillers and even perhaps a 1/32 scale of one. I think everyone agrees that its time for some new updated models. I personally would like to see Orange Co. Fire Authority, or some other departments in Orange Co.
Code 3 has put out various catalogs, as in collectors guides, up to 2005, although it is still available in the club section in PDF format.
They also used to do a montly newsletter in full color, containing new and upcoming releases, and sometimes a resin mock-up of something in the pipeline, and most of these, are again available in PDF format in the code 3 club section.
Oh, sorry, are you are not a member, this was one of the perks we had at one time.
