Seagrave Maurader II Engines and Towers...AFTER a couple NON-FDNY Maurader II's are released...
Poll: More FDNY or less?
Some classic FDNY trucks would be cool too like Mack R model rescue, early Seagrave engine and TDA's or 4 door Am LaFrance Century engines, ladders and TDA's
Hah! Where are the FDNY Bashers?
Well, I'll pipe in. :) I don't have anything at all against the FDNY. But, I do think Code 3 has dedicated way too much product. There are some popular FDNY Code 3's. If you go on Ebay a lot you tend to see so much of it that quite a bit doesn't even sell.
I just think there are so many other departments and that they should spread the wealth a little.
I agree. Too much emphasis on FDNY. They are without a doubt a great department, but they are not by any stretch of the imagination the ONLY department out there. With all the complaining about repaints.... That and I am soured by the licensing (GREED) BS that occured after 911.... So spread the wealth as they say.
Bring on the FDNY. We need some more Mack CF'S. Mack CF Squads would be great.Mack CF Foam units.
Also some more Tower Ladders with the tool chest on the cab.
Retooling the Tillers would also be a great addition. They could also extend the current Mack CF Towers with a few solid red paint schemes.
Ill just say i think they make to much FDNY but if there gonna make it at least make some trucks in the department that are unique for ex. The new Arrow XT Rescue 1. The Ferrara i belive Engine 54 the busiest in the city. Engine 26 has a unique look to it. What about a E-54 L-4 set + Station if i may add they lost all 16 men on duty on 9-11 but hey im only the 13 year old who has loved code3s since he was 2 soo wat do i know LOL.
I whole heartedly agree with EMS4, Truck98Lt, exranger, and powercallsirens. All extremely good points. I must say I am sincerely hoping that Mr. Dunkel listens to some of us, like Powercall and myself, BUILD the new Pierce Arrow XT Rescue 1 and We WILL buy it!!! New TDA's!! Complete Houses / Companies!!
Just my opinion, when someone starts a poll, it shouldn't just be "yes" or "no", "more" or "less" ..give options! more, less, just right, just right but add some "classics" or unique rigs.
Finally, I'll say that if making FDNY helps CODE 3 financially, then so be it, I would rather have some more FDNY Apparatus, than not have any new CODE 3's at all. (besides, what else are those Incredible kitbashers going to use for parts?) Thanks for listening.
Very Admirable of a rather mature 13 year old to speak up and be heard. I'm proud to have this young man as a fellow collector! "CODE 3, Preserving the Honor, Forever!"
Less of the interchangeable Seagrave repaints
More of the unique apparatus....
I voted for "less," but I have to agree with trk98lt - if they'd only do some true classics (i.e., vintage apparatus, pre-1970s), I'd wouldn't care what department it came from. Corgi and Yat Ming, plus a few from Signature, have really cornered the market on vintage fire trucks.
But we all have to remember, FDNY "repaints" are very cost effective for the company, plus they get the Fire Zone to take a bunch off thier hands off the top, so don't expect any drop in the frequency of FDNY releases.
FDNY is deserving, but I've got to say more variety both within FDNY but also from around the country if not the world.
One cool thing about FDNY is that they have some many specialized units that no one else has...I would like to see some oof the special rigs FDNY hits the bricks with not just standard engines and ladders (borrrrrrrrrrrring)
enough is enough. no more fdny
WAY way way way way way way way way way way less fdny. Their ff are just as good as other ff!
