I read in one of code 3 news reports that they will be releasing a new school somtime next year. I was wondering what scale everyone else would like? I was thinking 1/87 or 1/43, niether of them have good, really detailed fire departement apparatus for sale! I could use some 1/87th scale stuff for my model train.

If it ever comes to be, the new scale in question will most likely be 1/50. There was a picture on the Model Fire Trucks board ("FireEngines.net") of a prototype 1/50 Mack Aerialscope which was on display at Code 3 Day from Past Time Hobbies in Illinois last fall.

Stick with 1/64, and if they must, the occasional 1/32, but nothing else.

Matchbox is 1/64 along with others that claim to be. How accurate can you be though, I guess!
