I USE TO ONLY COLLECT FIRETRUCKS THAT LOOKED REAL. ONE DAY I SAW A BEAT UP MATCHBOX, LIKE I USED TO PAY WITH, SELLING FOR $50. NOW I COLLECT ANY KIND OF FIRETRUCK-EMS. I ALSO COLLECT HESS,FRANKLIN MINT,CORGI,TONKA,ERTL FIRETRUCKS.I HAVE OVER 2000 FIRE-EMS. I ALSO HAVE THE 3 AMERICAN LAFRANCE MODELS.
1/64 and 1/32 FDNY,Fort Worth Fire Dept.. Including related books, videos, patches, 1/6 figures... etc., and any other fire department item that catches my intrest. Bought my first C3 in 1997 (FDNY tiller) at a Target store. Been hooked ever since.

Besides collecting diecast fire apparatus, I collect many other fire fighting items, and Budweiser stuff.

depends on what you are looking for, I am proud of my Collection,
sort of a very interesting Past time to find just the right type of pin
All other brands from N guage to 1/16 have app. 600 items or more several 100in HO scale
Also a large collection of 1/43 police cars New York State Westchester County and NYPD from the 30 to present
I have a large selection of "First Gear" Pumpers and a full set of "First Gear" Dodge Power Wagon
brush trucks, All of the 49 Chevy Panel Trucks, and assorted other "First Gear."

don't know if this is considered "collecting" but i draw different apperatus, and mainly collect code 3's
I've had to sell almost all of my collections, especially all of my model trains (except for some fire apparatus projects). I also collect some 1/200 and 1/400 diecast airliners, and certain releases from the Choicefire apparatus picture card sets. I also collect Fire, EMS, and Police patches for certain departments, cities or agencies.
But mostly, I just sit here and collect dust!
I collect everything from N gauge to Tonkas. I have now started restoring Nylint, Structo and Tonkas.
Lately I have cut back of the diecasts to the local area (MD DE and South Central PA). I am rapidly running out of room. I also have collected American Flyer trains forever. No joke, my Dad gave me my first Flyer for my first Christmas (4 mos of age), been collecting AF and Plasticville ever since.

Besides Code3's, I collect the following;
- McFarlane's NHL and Metallica action figures
- Dragon Models' 1:6 scale World War II action figures
- Fire Department artwork and pictures
- Fire and police patches from around the country including FDNY company patches
- US, Canadian, British and German WWII uniforms, patches, insignia, rifles, and equipment
- 1:32 scale (I think thats what they are) plastic Mack CF models (3 of 4 are totaly customized and kitbashed)
- 1:43 scale die-cast police cars and motorcycles
- 1:24 scale police and fire Crown Victorias and Impalas (all self-painted, detailed and decaled), these include the three different Detroit PD paint schemes from the past 15 years or so, NYPD, Tennessee State PD, Michigan State PD, Windsor, Ontario PD, Hazel Park PD (Michigan), Ferndale PD (Michigan), and the current Detroit FD chiefs Crown Victorias.
- 1:50 scale Corgi diecast Detroit FD Segrave Anniversary series Sedan and TDA (E21 & L28), DFD
Seagrave sedan Engine 9, Baltimore city Seagrave Anniversary series pumper, and a Kansas City (I think it was) Seagrave K model that I stripped and re-lettered as a Royal Oak Township (Detroit suburb) FD engine that my dad rode on when he first moved to Michigan from Windsor, Ontario back in the early 80's.
- Various scales of military combat fighters, interceptors, recon, bombers, and gunships ranging anywhere from World War II up trough Vietnam up to todays military aircraft.
- Tons of different military surplus and current military rifles, handguns, shotguns, mostly for target and sporting purposes, but also if need be, self-defense as well.
- and I also love collecting books about the military and firefighting and that is about the jist of what I collect.
Basically I have more models than what I even know what to do with, but I just can't part with any of them lol =)
