Sure would like to see Code Three offer it's collectors a new line of fire
houses. Especially one that has three or four bays. Several communities
in the North suburbs of Chicago have such stations. DesPlains, Niles, Park Ridge, Skokie, Morton Grove, and Glenview to name just a few. Thanks.
Code three collectables fire houses
I think we have a better chance at Pine Canyon in making a modern muti-bay station.
But you never know, Code 3 may want to venture back with them. I know one bay's are smaller and lighter----but with all verious models Code 3 did----making a 3 plus bay generic station would be nice and a good sale.
I have two , 13009 and 13100 , but I hope I can get more.
I have the DCFD, both Chicago, Boston and all 4 FDNY houses. I believe C3 siad they were not going to be making any more for the time being. Pine Canyon will be a better bet or the German fellow making the FDNY Rescue 1 firehouse.
Pine Canyon has some really nice firehouses in kit form. If you have any model building skill at all you can end up with a nice modern firehouse in several configurations. I have Pine Canyon Station # 1 which is the large one which I don't see listed anymore on their site. But they do have Station # 3 which is a 3 bay and they have some single bay stations
Ever thought of typing pine canyon into the google page, it comes up as the 2nd one down ??
lol why not have a whole year set up for Code 3. Start with Baltimore rigs from the 70's. All that were in Steadman station. Then the final piece.... THE STATION!!! That would be a HUGH $$$ maker. plus 1 rig a month is BCFD. the other 1 or 2 could be FDNY or some other place.
Was just on Pine Canyon's web site, ITS FOR SALE. there not taking orders until it sells eather
Although I like your idea of doing the Baltimore rigs, I'm not so sure Steadman Station would be all that popular. One thing a lot of people don't realize is that the Bromo Tower, which gives the area its unique appearence, isn't part of the station. So if just the station was modeled, you'd have just a square gray block with a corner cut out of it. The Oldtown Station, which is of similar design, but has a much nicer outward appearence, might make a better choice, although it never had as many companies stationed there as Steadman did.
Yonkers FD Headquarters too house L-71 and make R-1 nice old station 4-bay scheduled for destruction in a few years
