Agreed, I've been pretty much collecting ARFF only with the occasional buys as gifts for others. Our new Striker 6x6 should be in soon, would make one hell of a truck being the only Striker so far from the factory with rear Chevrons

F1renz FYI, i was at station 80 not to long ago. They renumbered them ARFF-180,280,380, The T-1500 is now ARFF 80. They took the word crash out of the station ( crash 80 ). It just "fire station 80".

I am very luck to have some Mike Adams excelent work, his did a set of them for me some years ago.
Now that i been to the station finally----i will be building there station to go with the rigs soon.

Rear chevrons?  I guess that would be so you don't get hit from behind by an airplane, right?Laughing

Egon, good to see someone from the "classic" board still around, the chevrons are for the gawking "holy shnikes what the heck is that?" public when we leave the field to put out other peoples fires.

That is a great idea. I would definitely like to see a new mold of the Oshkosh Striker. There are countless possibilities with departments. Also it can be designed to make some of the different models that Oshkosh offers.

hey guys, my apologies to John Dunkel. I didnt mean to advertise other toy companies here with my post of the overpriced Strikers for sale. Hate to "diss" C3 by posting links to competitors sites, my loyalty is with C3. Just bang out some ARFF trucks soon J-Dunk, my withdrawals are getting worse :)

How is it that the museum quality Oshkosh by TWH is overpriced? Its not even out yet. No more cost involved than a couple of really poor quality repaints. I guess because it isnt by Code 3 or in your favorite scale its OK to come to Code 3's forum and slam it? And Commish, how is it that Boley dropped the ball on the Striker? I have one, it was very good for the price. Much more so than some of Code 3's latest offerings. My loyalty is with who gives the greatest value for my hard earned money. Doesnt matter who made it.

This is overpriced and they are out. I had the opportunity to see and handle one up close, not exactly a 200 dollar model. Franklin Mint or a Code 3 DP is a 200 dollar model. Also as someone who just helped spec and spend 1.3 million on a real Striker I'd say I know the detail levels pretty well And I have to agree with Commish, Boleys quality vs. price is way absurd, I bought 2 and I can attest that it was more of a quality I'd let my 4 year old have. Boley has always been a toy company in my mind not a collectibles company. I have over 80 CFR/ARFF diecast in my collection of varied brands and they are the only faction of firefighting I collect....period. I think my opinion carries alittle bit of water so I'd say that theres no bashing going on, just opinions based on facts.
